Abstract

This study aims to elucidate to coaches and teachers, to what extent the various psychophysical variables influence the proposal of systematic training with swimmers aged from 25 years. Stimulation and its consequent response are proportionally linked to the various exogenous factors such as food, hygiene, climate, rest, social environment, etc.

The central question is: How far can the professional who works with this category - called master - delimit the importance of such factors, knowing that the athlete's assiduity is inconstant, and the individual capacity is difficult to quantify? In addition to exogenous factors, we have physiological scores (ie, measured effort curves), "nostalgia", personal overcoming, technical difficulties, hydrodynamic and tactical improvement, and finally the search for the inexhaustible source of pleasure and inherent motivation.
